To build a permanent endowment for the current and future needs of the Upper Ohio Valley
Most Meaningful Change
In 2010 we created a Women’s Giving Circle. The WGC grew quickly to 124 members who each give a minimum of $500 per year, half of which is put into an endowment and the other half used for annual grants. The women are people of influence in our community and many of them hadn’t dealt with us before. They have become thoughtful grantmakers and have learned a great deal about the real needs of women and girls in our region through hands-on activities. As a part of their educational meetings, they hear directly from women and girls who have been helped by their philanthropy. It is making a real difference in our region.
