Community-based philanthropy: to see community dreams fulfilled through philanthropy

Most Meaningful Change

We are a relatively new community foundation working hard to improve lives. We are strengthening nonprofits, developing better community leadership, preparing the way for better planned giving, getting the word out about the excellent services we offer, and maintaining a good relationship with local government. Our foundation has one central city/hub, but we envision ourselves serving 10 counties in the center of our state, and more than one community in each county. We are presently a broker of services, with the nuts and bolts of investment, accounting, IT provisions and check-writing made available to us through a contractual relationship with a veteran community foundation in another part of the state. In a phrase, the most meaningful change to our work is “spreading the good word of the community foundation’s broad and flexible charitable services.”
