Strengthening our Communities through Engaged Philanthropy

Most Meaningful Change

We undertook a community-wide initiative around early childhood literacy, helping to ensure that our children are ready to read and ready to succeed when they reach kindergarten. We have created community reading centers, employed the resources of the local college, funded the library, created a cadre of trained volunteer readers, and established a permanent endowment for early literacy.
