Mission

Building the capacity of the local community to solve its own social problems and needs through grantmaking and events for local nonprofit organizations. Our task is to monitor the problems and needs of the local community, to encourage donations and collect funds for grants and projects that are available to implement social initiatives, and to teach NGOs how to write proposals, raise funds, cooperate with the media and handle other tasks.

Most Meaningful Change

Youth and volunteering were the priorities form the very beginning of our activity, especially last two years. Foundation established Youth Bank of Ideas and provide mini-grants for local youth initiatives, finished large regional youth project “Eight life competences that change the behaviour” – training course in 14 schools and colleges, participate in different Youth in Action projects, established 5 Euro Clubs in 3 regional cities (Irpin, Gostomel and Kotsiubynske), host and send EVS volunteers, lead the “School of Leadership” for local activists and future managers, run lessons in “School of new opportunities” for children with few opportunities, etc. We have data base of more than 100 real active youngsters.

Other DescriptionIrpin Foundation is charitable organization that carries out charitable activities in interests of society, in particular for public of Irpin region. Aims and tasks of Foundation are to develop the local community and assist for society in many spheres, in particular: science and education, culture, environment, enterprise, rights defence, people with the special needs, etc. The priority activity of Foundation is development of active and responsible public society in Irpin region with bringing in of All-Ukrainian and international experience in this sphere. Key Activities: - developing civil society; - supporting dialogue and cooperation with local public authorities and local business; - good governance and public order; - social and legal protection; - environment; - children care and youth activities; - promotion of voluntary lifestyle and philanthropy.
