Mission

Building a stronger, more resilient Fleurieu community

Most Meaningful Change

As a relatively new organization we have had to start from scratch with small grants from local government, develop infrastructure and policies, and market ourselves to the community. During this start-up phase we have used grants and “flow-through” funds from the Foundation of Rural and Regional Renewal to help disadvantaged students across the region with costs associated with the start of the school year, distributing more than A$26,000. We also started the Stay in Sport program, which helps young people to remain engaged in sport and connected to the community despite economic disadvantage. These two programs demonstrate our capacity to respond to local needs at a grassroots level.
